Homemade Alice in Wonderland and the White Rabbit Halloween Costume

My husband and I decided to go as Alice and The White Rabbit this year. It was a bit of a last minute decision and I put these costumes together in a week. My Alice costume was based off a sewing pattern and tweaked a bit by adding the black and white striped fabric and the details on the apron. A good part of my husband’s costume were Goodwill finds.

The jackets, shirt and pants I picked up for just a few dollars. I bought the top hat plain and snipped a rabbit ear headband apart and hot glued just the ears to the hat and then wrapped ribbon around the hat to trim it off. I wished I had added playing cards to his jacket pocket but didn’t have a deck and I was finishing up his costume last minute so we did without them. Everyone loved our costumes and I think they turned out really cute.
