Homemade Batman Costume with a Girlie Twist

My 10 year old daughter wanted to be Batman, but girlie! So after some pondering we decided to add a tutu and sparkle. We made her tutu out of black shimmer tulle and elastic, adding a big yellow bow. For the top we searched the fabric section until we found a stretchy sequined fabric. It’s was perfect, since in Michigan we never know what the weather will be like, costume sizes must be adjustable. I cut the fabric to 45″ and tied it in a big bow in the back. The Batman logo is a reflective sticker we purchased off of eBay. I used the extra fabric and ribbon to make a matching trick or treat bag, with another Batman sticker on the front of the bag. For the boots we attempted to make the duct tape boots we found on Pinterest, but those were an epic failure. We went to Goodwill where we found the shiny black moon boots, the perfect addition to the costume and for $5 we couldnt pass them up! One more reflective Batman sticker was added to the right boot.  We topped the costume off with a big sequined bow I found at Target, some black jeggings and a black hoodie. While we were out trick or treating in our very packed subdivision everyone kept stopping her to tell her how awesome her costume was, and ask where she got it. When they saw here matching sequined bag, they said hers was the best costume of the night.
