For this KISS homemade costume from Hell, I started with the wings – perfectly symmetrical. The party was a hit so no one was able to appreciate it. When I did the boots, started with sketchers boots, elbow pads, aluminum foil and felt to protect their integrity. Followed by clay and duct tape and more masking tape and spray paint. Worked with hot glue – paper, more clay, and paint to make them look decent. Lots of work- but the chest plate/armor came together nicely from the dollar store, old belt, and scraps from the body piece. Huge hit – won our costume contest, but I wasn’t going to give ourselves our prize! That’s ridiculous.
