My son and I have been sharing the percy jackson novels and he was percy jackson this year and i was Hera. the robes were simple, a sheet from the thrirft store cut in a few spots for my head and arms, sandals spraypainted gold and a cool belt also from the thrift store. the local 99cent sore sell bags of different colored braids and curls i hot glued strands onto a pice of cloth and tied it around my head like a bandana, styled with bobby pins and small hair ties. fun makeup and jewelery, press on nails, … i would have loved to find a large peacock feather …
