My boyfriend and I decided it would be funny to dress up as Jon & Kate Gosselin. I figured I would just buy the wig and he would wear an Ed Hardy t-shirt and we would call it a day. However, the costumes took on a life of their own once we began thinking more about the details.
In addition to the wig, I purchased eight dolls when, attached together, made for a great accessory! We both wore labels with funny verbiage – ‘Media Whore’ and ‘I love my kids!’ ‘Jon’ wore ‘Douchebag of the Year’ and ‘#1 Worst Dad’.
We live in Los Angeles and went downtown for a large party. We had no idea we would get the reaction we did – people treated us like real celebrities and wanted to take our picture all night long. Everyone knew who we were and congratulated us on great costumes! We had such a great time and really enjoyed these characters!! However, at the end of the night, we were relieved to not really have 8 kids!!!
