To make this costume I purchased a grey, long sleeved t-shirt, a winter hat, and some felt. I made the calendar date with black and white felt. I used fabric paint to write “Tuesday” on the red strip and glued it on the date page. I cut snowflakes out of glittery white fabric. I glued everything onto the shirt with a glue gun. I added snowflakes to the hat. I put on some boots and carried my son’s little snow shovel. I was actually part of a larger group called “School Super Heroes and their nemesis, Snow Day.” The super heroes were Math Girl, Super Speller, and Super Reader. We are teachers and wore them to school for a group competition. This costume was cheap and easy to make. It only cost about $10 total for all of the supplies and took about an hour to make. Everyone loved it!
