Old-movie fans that we are, we decided to go as actress Tippi Hedren (as Melanie Daniels) and director Alfred Hitchcok from The Birds. Melanie’s costume is a Chanel-type suit in a green color with a thin waist belt, white gloves, a blonde wig, scars and blood (corn syrup with red food coloring), torn hose, and fake crows sewn onto the suit and wig. Hitch’s costume is made of a stuffed traditional black suit and skinny tie, balding wig, makeup to enhance his big lips, and a movie director’s clap board. We sent the picture to Tippi Hedren herself and she loved it!
