Last-Minute Risky Business Costume for a Woman

Quite some time ago, I stole my boyfriend’s pink button down because it looked oh so good with a belt and heels. Who knew it’d be a great Halloween costume as well? Risky Business is an iconic movie in our culture and the scene in which Tom Cruise dances around to Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock ‘n Roll” is as memorable as it is hilarious. Just like Tom, I had the pink button down and rolled up socks, and for a little extra sex appeal, I left it open with only booty shorts and a sports bra underneath. Luckily for me, I already owned everything that the costume required so it was absolutely FREE. The boys looovvveedd it and the girls wish they thought of it! Might have to be Tom Cruise next year….

To do it yourself, you’ll need:

•  Wayfarer sunglasses
•  White knee-high socks to push down
•  Button down (Tom wore pink, but any color is acceptable)

What you wear underneath is up to you, but I used:

•  Sports bra (you could use tank top)
•  Booty shorts (Tom wears whitey-tighties though)

So cheap and so cute! Love it!

This would also be a very easy couples’ costume! Unfortunately, my boyfriend couldn’t spend Halloween with me, but he was also planning on dressing as Tom Cruise.
