Every year my friends and I struggle coming up with costume ideas. We always want to be creative and original and this year I really think we topped ourselves! Our Scrabble group costume came about when a few of us were sitting around the table trying to figure out what eight girls could dress up as. The work that went into the costume was very minimal and actually very easy.
We wore all black and ironed on the Scrabble logo onto our backs. Then I went to Home Depot, bought a big sheet of wood and had them cut it into squares. I drilled holes for the ribbon so it could hang from our necks. We then used stencils and painted on the letters to each piece of wood. The total cost for this costume was about $5 per person (since we just wore our own clothes). We got so many compliments on this costume and people still talk about it!
