American flag bathing suits from American Apparel were the main inspiration for this costume. We paired it with a faux navy leather shirt, a silver belt, red heels, and silver star earrings. To add the party to our costume we made American party hats by gluing blue stared tinsel around shiny silver party hats, added some red, white and blue beads, and a party horn. Ta-da! You’ve got a very literal party in the U.S.A. This costume was a hit! The DJ even played “Party in the U.S.A.” at the party for us! This costume made for a fun night filled with lots of “noddin’ our heads like yeah” and “moving our hips like yeah”.
