Every year we make our costumes, and this year we decided to make a Homemade Sensational Stainless Steel Refrigerator Costume. It took me about 10 hours all together to complete. What I did was put gray duct tape evenly around the outside of two boxes. One box should be a little smaller than the other. Then I cut open the side that I wanted to use to make it look like the freezer door was open. After, I lined the inside of the freezer with tinfoil. I glued it with normal Elmer’s glue. I used 2 cookie racks and twist tied them for the ice compartment ( I hot glued those in).
The door shelves were made out of cardboard and masking tape, painted black. I super glued all the add-on items to it. For the door handles, we just bought some from the store and super glued as well. I went online and printed out a picture of ice maker and glued it, then cut a hole around it, put a handle on the inside so, my child could open and close it.
I think this is probably one of the coolest costumes we’ve made!
