I like the idea of headless costumes and never want to spend a fortune on costumes. So I decided to make a waiter serving…well me!
I hate when costumes are too tall as they don’t look quite right so I got a hollow mannequin body and strapped it to my back. Taking an old suit jacket and cutting under the armpits so that my arms just hung down with no bulging. Getting the neck to look more real I used an old zombie mask and attached it to the mannequin neck (gave texture to it). After that I needed to serve my head!
I went to the dollar store and grabbed a bunch of stuff including a serving tray, added some garnish and wallah!
The costume got lots of comments and questions including one lady that when I lifted my head and talked to her she screamed and ran!!! Best moment! and all this cost $24.00
