Inspired by Día de Muertos my boyfriend and I did our make-up ourselves and went thrift shopping and used clothes already on hand to complete the look. We got a TON of complements and even got a heartfelt thank you from a Mexican woman for representing her country! I did a lot of Googling and YouTubing to get all the tips and tricks for the makeup with A LOT of doodling on scrap paper in the days leading up to Halloween for practice.
If you are thinking of doing this costume I recommend going on YouTube, it has some very good tutorial videos for how to get the makeup base done right so it will last all night and Google sugar skulls and tattoos to find your own style, the possibilities are endless! Good luck and have fun!
