This Smurfette costume was pretty easy. The blue turtleneck and white dress she already had in her closet. The only difficult part was searching for a pair of blue tights and blue gloves that matched her turtleneck… so I just went with the closest shades. I took a little trip to Joann Fabrics for half a yard of white fleece (perfect for 2 hats).
I drew a smurf hat pattern on there, ran it through my sewing machine and added a little stuffing on the top to make it stick up like that. I went and got her a yellow wig, white high heels and painted her face blue with Snazaroo, turquoise. And that’s it! But I wanted to add a little more to it. We found an old, beat up umbrella in the garage and turned it into a mushroom! With just red and white felt and my trusty old glue gun.
Ta-daaa! Smurfette under a mushroom! She loved it and got lots and lots of compliments while trick or treating!! She felt like a star!
